February Affiliate of the Month

TeJay Rasband has been in the Title and Escrow business for 12 years being very knowledgeable in both the Title and Escrow side of the business.  He loves meeting new people and solving problems and has gone out of his way to make sure a transaction can close.

He is originally from Heber City, Utah and currently lives in Cedar Hills with his wonderful wife and four delightful children.  He enjoys eating Mexican food – the hotter the better.  In his spare time during warmer weather he can be found out on an open road driving his Harley.  And in colder weather he can be found inside a warm garage tinkering on his Harley to make sure that it is in great riding condition for the warmer days.  He volunteers his time as a chapter officer/webmaster for the local HOG chapter.

December Affiliate of the Month: Clay Johnson

Clay Johnson, The Clay Johnson Mortgage Group.

Clay has always had a passion for excellence and exceeding people’s expectations. When Clay decided to get into the mortgage  business in 1997, he didn’t start by testing the waters and starting part time like many others; he jumped in 100% and completely changed industries he was working in. He knew immediately that this was an industry that he wanted  to make a career of.  Clay loves to meet and associate with new people and loves the opportunities this industry gives him to do just that.  After Clay spent just over a decade in the business, the real estate and mortgage industry took a huge hit and experienced a tremendous fall out.  While others were leaving the market in droves because of the significant reduction in business opportunity and stiff regulatory measures imposed by the industry, Clay never took his eye off the ball but focused more intensely then ever to meet the market demands and maintained a strong commitment to the industry and people he has grown to love so much.  Clay is just as excited about this business today as he’s ever been and looks forward to future opportunities for growth and change.

October Affiliate of the Month: Jason Karp, W.J. Bradley

Jason hails from the wicked-liberal Boulder, Colorado. Somehow, he found his way to “Conservative Valley” and settled in with a wife and now 4 kids. Despite all the government has done to thwart Jason’s survival in the mortgage industry over the past 14 years, he remains –battered and bruised, but carrying the dream

of home ownership to those that can still qualify. If he can handle jumping out of planes for the Army, then he can handle the obstacles that borrowers and underwriters throw at him. And since he is currently in a Spanish Fork Theater production, he’ll be sure to keep the “drama” out of the loan business.

W. J. Bradley Mortgage Capital Corp. was formed in 2007 by professionals specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Because of this background, they have structured operations to be the model of efficiency. They have created a company that caters to the purchase market by keeping underwriting, conditions and docs to 1 day each. And with volume of $350 million last month, that is no small feat. With direct selling to Fannie & Freddie, overlays are almost non-existent. WJB even offers co-branding with Realtors for marketing purposes. Give us your next hard deal, and let us impress you!

September Affiliate of the Month: Dana Stanford, Watch Dogs Home Inspectors

My name is Dana Stanford and I am  originally from Utah County where I attended Provost Elementary.  After graduating from High School in Layton, I met my husband and moved to California where I worked as a Marketing Manager for newspapers and radio stations.  After many years in both Northern & Southern California, I realized that there truly is “no place like home” and moved back to Utah.

Upon returning to Utah, I took on an entrepreneurial spirit, and have owned a few businesses including an insurance business and childcare center.  I finally found my niche when my husband and I started Watch Dogs Home Inspectors, and have grown the business to include four full time home inspectors as well as office staff.  The Home Inspection business is perfect for us because we are doing something we enjoy. Not only are we able to be of service to the community and teach people about their new homes, we also like to solve puzzles and enjoy a good mystery. Frequently during a home inspection you have to wonder, why did they do that, or what happened here?  The fun is in finding the answer and coming up with the solution.

I am also very committed to serving the Real Estate community.  I have a variety of  Core Continuing Education classes for Realtors,  I am an instructor at a Pre-License Real Estate School, am the Membership Chair for the State chapter of Women in Business,  and  am currently serving as the Affiliate Chair  for the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors.

I am so impressed with UCAR and look forward to serving the board with whatever they may need.

August Affiliate of the Month: Stevan Davis, Axiom Financial

Stevan Davis, Mortgage Consultant and Loan Officer, Axiom Financial

Stevan has been in the lending business since 1994, although he has always been interested in real estate and has been an active real estate investor and sometimes developer. This month marks his 12th year with Axiom Financial. After marrying Leuri Zibetti in 2003, he dragged her into the business as a Realtor. Leuri is doing great as a property management specialist at Vision Realty, personally handling over 50 doors.

Many people recognize Stevan from two other avocations – as an actor/singer in local theater productions since 1977, and as a varsity high school basketball referee for the past 27 years, now retired. When someone he doesn’t know recognizes him, he’s not sure if he should thank them (theater) or quickly move in the other direction (basketball).
